히말라야산맥을 여러 번 다녀온 지인의 말에 따르면

상상을 뛰어넘는 거대한 산 앞에서 말문이 막힌다고 한다. 

거대한 설산에 저녁노을이 황금빛으로 누렇게 물들 때

자신도 모르게 주르르 눈물이 났다고 했다.

인간이란 존재가 한없이 작다는 사실을 실감하고

한없이 큰 산에 경외의 마음과 겸손한 마음이 들어서란다.

나 역시 가서 한없이 작은 나를 느껴보고 싶다.

동행하는 사람은 서로 말없이 걸어가도 되는, 마음 맞는 사람이면 좋겠다.
